3DS required, if yes then related set ups:
Yes, Vipps payments may require 3D Secure support, particularly when the card issuer requests it as part of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). When a card issuer "soft declines" a transaction, meaning they require 3DS, the Vipps MobilePay PSP must initiate a 3DSecure session and provide the URL to Vipps. The Vipps app then handles the 3DS flow within a web view.
