Target language selector not listing languages in some cases
Closed, ResolvedPublic2 Estimated Story Points

Description

When accessing MinT for Wiki readers on English Wikipedia and searching for an article to translate ("Moon" in the example), the tool provides a language selector to adjust the language pair. The target language (which in this particular case defaults to English) shows "no results" when te user selects it.

The expected result would be for the target languages (all languages for which MinT can translate into) to be listed.

The video below illustrates the issue:

Under these circumstances, the issue happens when accessing the target language selector from different paths including the selectors from the Confirm step (T359512) and the Translation options (T359829) provided in the Translation view (T359801).

For other wikis, the issue does not seem to happen. So maybe it is not affecting those in the pilot group for the experiment. However, this seems to suggest some glitch in the language pair logic, that we may want to investigate to better understand the impact.
