Event Timeline

Since this task primarily addresses extensions, I think it would be prudent to separate the work related to skins into its own distinct task. This is not about demanding changes, but about organizing the work to better address the differing nature and maintenance needs of skins versus extensions.

The pros and cons of various skins could then be discussed through that task.

I don't think we need yet another place to discuss "how many skins and which ones" again and again.

How are you deciding which extensions to create subtasks for? I'd not have thought of suggesting DynamicPageList3 or DynamicSideBar for instance, they just don't seem popular enough or really crucial to a wiki (although I'm just basing that on a vague idea, rather than any usage data).
