[DESIGN] Design, test, and publish a survey for Summaries contributor feedback
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We need to design and publish the survey for T389393 to point to.

To-do

  • Re-write introduction to survey
  • Record demos (dependent on a usable mobile prototype)
  • Decide on questions
  • Survey feedback from @Mraish and @dchen
  • Survey feedback from design review
  • Survey feedback from comms
  • Pressure test the survey by running the Google Forms prototype with 10 participants in userlytics.
  • Iterate on survey design
  • Publish survey to Qualtrics
  • UI translations
  • Generate demos in target languages other than English
  • Translate survey questions into target languages (ES, JP, FR)
  • Add legal disclaimer
  • launch survey with quicksurvey
  • Figure out how the quota behaviour works on Qualtrics so we don't oversample.

Event Timeline

JScherer-WMF added a subscriber: LMora-WMF.

@LMora-WMF Do you think I'll be able to record a demo of the Minerva summaries in the next week or so?

I took another pass on the questions for the survey.

I decided to show the list of potential features and ask which ones they think are best and/or worst. I asked for some help with a couple questions from Mike and Daisy.

We are blocked on this as we need translations and feedback, mostly from community liasons and ambassadors.

The English survey is less blocked but requires feedback that the language makes sense.

There have been no updates on this yet. @ovasileva says we can apply the feedback and then mark as translation. Justin needs to talk to Bethany about Qualtrix and do a revision on the survey itself.

We landed on a format and language we're happy with in English. I'm running a pilot with 10 respondents from a Userlytics panel.

JScherer-WMF changed the task status from Open to In Progress.May 22 2025, 5:48 PM

Today's update: Need Japanese, Spanish, French translation

Since Justin is out, @Jdrewniak will follow up on the qualtrix translated surveys

ovasileva changed the task status from In Progress to Stalled.Jun 10 2025, 4:15 PM

The work on T385494 has been paused as the new reader teams have been restructured, so I'm going to close this task as well as the parent task (though this might be revived at a later date).

Jdrewniak claimed this task.
