Reopening, as the document in the AC hasn't actually been satisfied. As was noted during a recent incident (ref T395546), the current docs are lacking, so we have some work to do on this task.

Small update, I've updated https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Search/Elasticsearch_Administration with a warning that it is being deprecated in favor of https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Search/OpenSearch/Administration , and I'm also replacing individual sections in the old doc with links to the new doc. This should make it easier us to keep track of the document refresh.
