GitLab account activation

To activate your account, please sign into GitLab and then answer the following question:

  • Developer account / GitLab username: LLugo-WMF

Activation checklist

  • User has provided the following: developer account username
  • User has an existing developer account, and has used it to log in to GitLab

If any of the following criteria are met, user should be approved immediately:

  • User has a history of contributions on-wiki, on Gerrit, Phabricator, etc.
  • User is known to the admin
  • User is vouched for by a known contributor
  • User is a member of a movement organization

@LLugo-WMF please request membership in the ldap/wmf group via https://idm.wikimedia.org/permissions/. Once you are in that LDAP group the Tool-gitlab-account-approval bot will notice and approve your gitlab account.

@bd808 Thank You I just requested the membership it says:
Permission: wmf
Status: Pending
System: LDAP

I just added you to Trusted-Contributors as well. That plus your Developer account being linked to your -WMF SUL account may get the bot to approve you even before your staff group rights are granted.

@LLugo-WMF: Hi, the banner on https://gitlab.wikimedia.org says:

Only if you are WMF staff: Create your GitLab account, have "Wmf" group membership in IDM, link your Developer account ("LDAP") to your Phabricator account, and get automatically approved.

If this is not clear enough, would you have comments how to rephrase to make that clearer? Thanks.
