Feature summary:
I would like to access red links on mobile without having to create them by default.
Steps to replicate the issue:
- Go to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&logid=169892356 on mobile
- Tap on red link
- Message: "This page has not yet been created."
- Options: "Create page" or "No, thanks."
- Tap "No, thanks."
What happens?:
Nothing (it does not bring you anywhere).
What is wrong with this?:
- As an editor I cannot access the redlinked page without needing to create it: I may want to see all of the relevant log entries for that page or want to use WhatLinksHere from there
- As a reader I am faced with an unhelpful binary decision: either create the page, or not visit it at all.
What should have happened instead?:
- Remove the options because they are unhelpful
- Bring readers directly to regular redlink without "&redlink=1#/editor/all" when a redlink is tapped.
Benefits:
- Simplifies things for readers (no need to make decision every time a redlink is tapped)
- Gives readers and editors the opportunity to see the log entries before creating the page
