Timeline
Before June 1: Setup
- Identify two scrutineers (typically, from current stewards)
- Create a blank election on votewiki
- Make the scrutineers election admins on votewiki
- Patch voter tables into all wikis per per documentation on Wikitech
- Import the list of eligible voters
- Configure the election on votewiki
- Import translations
- Verify the list of election admins
June 3–17: Voting period
June 17–July 1: Tallying period
- Scrutineers run necessary checks to strike votes submitted by socks or placed illegally
- The Trust-and-Safety team or someone with shell access runs the tally via command line
- Scrutineers confirm that the result posted on wiki matches the result from the tally
