Background

IPInfo is deployed on all WMF wikis. However, it is currently in version 0.0.0. Before the first stable release, we plan to overhaul the permissions, to remove ipinfo-view-basic.

Since T356660: Unset IPInfo as a BetaFeature and make available by default on wikis where temporary accounts are known, IPInfo is available without BetaFeatures on wikis with temporary accounts. On these wikis, ipinfo-view-basic is not assigned to any users.

For wikis without temporary accounts, IPInfo is still a beta feature and ipinfo-view-basic is still used.

Therefore we must wait for temporary accounts to be enabled everywhere before we can do the permissions overhaul and release version 1.0.0.

Acceptance criteria

• The version is 1.0.0 in extension.json
• The release status is 'stable' in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:IPInfo
