Description

Context:

This focus area brings together efforts that help us understand how Wikibase Suite is used and by whom. It includes metric tracking, research into user roles and instance configurations, and feedback loops for better visibility into the ecosystem. By deepening our understanding, we can make more informed decisions and better serve the needs of both emerging and established communities. This space also welcomes future epics that extend or evolve our data-gathering capabilities.

Relevant Objectives:

WMDE 2025: Users holding and contributing marginalized knowledge find the Wikibase LOD ecosystem (Wikidata + Suite + Cloud) attractive for their use cases (CC2)

WMDE 2025: We are able to measure the ability to federate across instances (which later we use to validate the hypothesis that federation can create a viable path for taking load off of Wikidata).

WMDE 2025: Users holding and contributing marginalized knowledge find the Wikibase LOD ecosystem (Wikidata + Suite + Cloud) attractive for their use cases (CC2)
