Temporarily replace the Phabricator logo for Pride Month (2025)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Last done in 2023 (T337964: Temporarily replace the Phabricator logo for Pride Month (2023)) — request copied below:

The current phabricator logo appears to be https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikimedia_logo_white.svg (going by Wikimedia-Phabricator-logo.png) — could we please change it to Wikimedia LGBT+ logo - without text.svg or Wikimedia Foundation QueERG icon white.svg for Pride Month (June)?

I believe this is done from within the UI via;
Config Application → User Interface → ui.custom-header

Personally I am still not a fan of any temporary logo changes in Phabricator based on a random calendar system.

Set to the version I think we used for T337964. Happy Pride!

I for one would be happy to keep the pride logo year-round, FWIW (like e.g. /r/ProgrammingLanguages does). Then we don’t have to change it every June :)

Miraheze is thinking of doing the same with theirs, it's a very easy replacement to do while maintaining brand identity and being accepting of everyone!

brennen mentioned this in E1876: Pride Month 2026.

I guess my take is that it's nice to commemorate the month as a special thing. I created E1876: Pride Month 2026 as a reminder for next year.
