Moving extra 1G port to make 10G space on cloud rack.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This ticket is to get some extra 10G ports in the codfw cloud rack.

I need to move one 1G connection in the rack. port 23. I think port 5 would be a good candidate for this.
The server it's attached to is cloudcephosd2001-dev. It has 2 x 1G connections. I do not need to move the server, just the port connected to the 2nd embedded port.

i will unfortunately need direct help moving the port because the netbox script i used to move ports/servers before is not equipped for this.

@cmooney @Andrew Please let me know what day/time would be good for this. Once this is moved, I can get the new cloudcephosd servers cabled up in the cloud rack (T393614).

Please let me know if you need anything from me. Thanks!

@Jhancock.wm yep should be no problem. We can do it easily enough by just going to the switch in Netbox, clicking on the port, and then renaming it in Netbox to the new port ID. Once we run Homer/configure switch cookbook after that it'll move the config to the new port, and Netbox will keep everything else like the cable and server connection but on the renamed one.

Ping me when you want to do this should be quick.
