What is the problem?

Viewing a page in Kashmiri (ks) or Eastern Pwo (kjp) on MacOS in Firefox or Chrome, I am finding the "Edit" and "Edit source" tabs to be out of alignment with the rest of the tabs in that menu.

I do not have MacOS locally, but I have reproduced on both Browserstack and Saucelabs.

I have not reproduced on Safari, nor on Firefox or Chrome on another OS.

The issue seems to be the default rule line-height: normal and can be fixed with $('#ca-edit a span').css('line-height',1). Not sure if this is a browser bug / Codex bug / Vector bug.

Line height normal is typically a browser default of 1.2 but can vary based on the font family.

Im assuming that this is what is happening here, that the particular font that was chosen to render these characters has a abnormal line-height mapping set. So it might be a user-agent or a font bug.

Given this is likely a font bug, it could be specific to different OS and OS configurations.

This is what I see on MacOS in the following browsers:

Kashmiri (ks)

We have done some work on the Vector toolbar between when this ticket was written and now, so I think this issue has largely been resolved. Feel free to re-open if I'm mistaken.
