Once the UX team has designed the survey message (see subticket for UX), we’ll need to ensure that it is translated into relevant languages so that it can be shown to editors in their local languages
Please coordinate the translation process through Translatewiki to ensure the message is made available in local languages.
Acceptance Criteria:
- The finalized English version of the survey message is submitted to Translatewiki (or whatever the process is)
- Translations are requested and tracked in at least the top 30 target languages (please see the wikis with the most WD changes turned on document)
- Local communities are informed about the survey and its purpose (wherever relevant eg. village pumps)
- Confirm that the translated versions are integrated and ready for deployment
Notes:
- Timing should align with the UX subticket completion so translations can begin promptly. Also see the relevant Engineering ticket to coordinate timelines - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T398535
- Please check with the Comms teams or Techwish for guidelines
