Description

This task tracks the OE surveys of English Wikipedia readers designed to identify reader use cases.

Objective: recruit ~200 readers from English Wikipedia to answer a series of open-ended questions about why and how they're using Wikipedia. The results will help us to develop a categorization of reader use cases and to develop close-ended questions for a subsequent larger survey.

When: in field July 10-15
Audience: Readers of English Wikipedia (global)
Coverage: 1:500 sampling ratio (but let's start with zero coverage as a test)

Survey Name: English Wikipedia Readers Use Cases Survey

QS Message: "Would you be willing to take a short survey to help us better understand and improve the Wikipedia reading experience?"

Hi @DDeSouza can we:

  1. pre-deploy this survey at coverage zero for testing (as soon as convenient)
  2. deploy at 1:500 coverage starting on July 10 on English Wikipedia?

Note that we're still waiting on the privacy statement from Legal (requested a couple weeks ago, so will ping them ASAP to get this moving)!

This survey has closed. Based on initial qualitative analysis of open-ended responses, we have decided to field a new iteration starting July 17: T399736

We will continue to analyze the data collected in this survey.
