Add "প্ৰকাশক" namespace and "Edition" field in Index page for Assamese Wikisource

Description

We would like to request two improvements for the Assamese Wikisource:

  1. Addition of a new custom namespace:
  • Name: প্ৰকাশক
  • English equivalent: Publisher
  • Purpose: To organize and display works by publisher, similar to how the Author: namespace functions.
  1. Enhancement to the Index page template:
  • New Field: সংস্কৰণ
  • English equivalent: Edition
  • Purpose: To allow users to specify the edition/version of the work being transcribed.

These changes will help improve metadata structuring and user experience on Assamese Wikisource.

Please implement this namespace and update the Index page configuration accordingly.

@Anoop The request was specifically for a new namespace for Publisher, and for Edition to appear as a field on the Index page—not as a separate namespace. Hope this can be addressed soon. Thanks!

this can be done on wiki through https://as.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=মিডিয়াৱিকি:Proofreadpage_index_template, & i will remove edition namespace changes from patch

this can be done on wiki through https://as.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=মিডিয়াৱিকি:Proofreadpage_index_template, & i will remove edition namespace changes from patch
