Wikimania Hackathon 2025: Documentation

Description

This is a task to collect ideas and progress from the group of volunteers who agreed to help with documentation at the Wikimania Hackathon 2025 in Kenya.

Volunteer roles

🎤 Session Note-Taking (Pre-Conference + Hackathon Days)

  • Attend scheduled sessions, discussions, or demos.

Take clear, concise notes on:

  • Key ideas or topics discussed
  • Questions or challenges raised
  • Action items, follow-ups, or next steps
  • Links to relevant projects or resources

🎉 Opening and Closing Ceremony Support

  • Assist in capturing summaries of key announcements, themes, and highlights shared during the ceremonies.
  • Work with the other volunteers and core team (@Maryann-Onyinye @JorisDarlingtonQuarshie) to draft notes live or help clean up a shared draft afterward.

📝 Contribute to a Post-Event Report or Blog

  • If you’re interested, help compile notes into a blog post or summary to showcase what was achieved at the Hackathon.
