[SPIKE] Determine if we should show items from multiple projects/languages on the Special:ReadingLists page
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Background

In T397532 we've decided to focus our efforts on adding/removing items to the default reading list only. However, that list can contain items from multiple languages or projects. Should we show those items on the Special:ReadingLists page?

Requirements

  • Document technical scope (a comment should be sufficient, POC patch welcome too) for either hiding items from other projects/languages from the Special:ReadingLists page or making them visible.
  • Sync with design about what the desired state is.

Acceptance criteria

  • We've determined whether or not we should support multiple projects / languages on the users Special:ReadingLists page.

Currently, by default, Reading Lists supports lists with items from multiple projects and languages.
For example, if you have reading lists enabled on beta cluster, you can save items from en.wikipedia.beta.wmcloud.org as well as es.wikipedia.beta.wmcloud.org and other beta cluster wikis.
