Q4: eqiad: (12) PDUs for ML expansion

Description

This task will track the racking of the 12 new PDUs into the new eqiad row expansion.

Please note we aren't allowed to energize the PDUs, and must open a smart hands ticket with DC6 staff to do so.

Rack E9:

  • - receive in both C2[LS]42CE-YCMFAM00 and the mounting brackets via T382370, enter into Netbox.
  • - align the vertical rails in the cabinet to standard depths to allow full mounting of the PDUs and vertical cable managers.
  • - install C2[LS]42CE-YCMFAM00 into the rack - ensure the master and expansion PDUs are linked by the link cable included in the box. (silver ribbon cable, RJ type connector.)
  • - connect PDU to serial console server
  • - open ticket for PDUs to be plugged in / energized once racks are ready.
  • - confirm PDU energized for setup
  • - setup PDU according to directions on https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/SRE/Dc-operations/Platform-specific_documentation/ServerTech

@Jhancock.wm helped with E9 pdu 1. Setup the managment cable, will need to work on the network cable. Thank you Jenn!

Worked with @Jhancock.wm to assist with E10 E11 E12 for consol ports. E13 and E14 currently not powered up. Will need to run the green network cables for these PDUs

E9 - E12 all have pingable IPs. E9 and E10 have been setup on their end, and need to add them to LibreNMS. Trying to log into E11 and E12 and they seem to be having issues through the WebUI.

Updated DNS name for E11 and E12 as that is the suspected problem

PDUs 9-12 should be set up according to the checklist. 13 and 14 do not have power at all.
