Beta testing notes:
What’s New to Test
- Navigation Tabs Bug – We’re investigating a rare issue where the top and bottom navigation bars disappear after viewing articles. Set device language to Japanese and Wikipedia language to English, browse multiple articles switching between languages and return to Explore several times. If the navigation bars disappear does force-closing the app restore them?
- Offline Math Formulas – Saved articles with math formulas (e.g., Minkowski-Raum on German Wikipedia) may not display formulas offline. Check if you see math formulas after saving an article, clearing cached data, entering Airplane Mode and opening the saved article.
- Tabbed Browsing (New Feature) – You can now open multiple Wikipedia articles in tabs, switch between them, and keep your reading position in each. Try opening tabs from links in multiple languages, switching between them, and closing them individually or in bulk. You may see a new tab screen design that includes recommendations, Please switch between treatments by clicking edit should you see the option and give us feedback about your preferred option.
