What happens?:

As discovered in T395634, the words "watching" "unwatch" appear when you click the watchlist button on the mobile special:EditWatchlist page

What should have happened instead?:

There should be no text label beside the icons when clicking them.

This is actually MobileFrontend (e.g. Reader Growth)

However would be great if the experience team can help us get rid of that page as part of their deliverables for reading lists.

After some back and forth given the reader experience team is working on reading list functionality which will make this code obsolete, they will maintain this feature going forward (more information in T403659: MobileFrontend should have an OWNERS.md).

My recommendation would be not to fix the bug and leave this be until it can be removed.
