Make monolingual string component blank language chip "clickable" to expand and encourage editors to fill it up
Closed, ResolvedPublicFeature

Description

Description

Some confusion with the monolingual string component could be avoided, see this comment https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T400271#11067256

A volunteer reports:

I didn't manage to understand how to insert [the monolingual string language code] (I expected that I had to click in the chip to activate an input box inside of it that would let me insert the language code). Since everything still worked well (the functions completely ignored the language field of the monolingual texts, and this is why now I am converting them to use simple strings), I just renounced to try to insert the correct language code.

It would be safe to say that the first intuitive interaction of an editor with a blank language chip in the monolingual string component would be to click it. This action could be captured to help the editor complete the object by expanding it.
