Background
In Codex and OOUI, the logo icons (with a few exceptions) are black-and-white versions of their normal logos. This results in that they are unreadable in small sizes, especially the more complex ones (like MediaWiki and Wikidata). The exceptions to this are Wikipedia, which uses the serif "W" rather than the globe (as their favicon); and Wikinews, which uses a completely new icon derived from cdxIconGlobe.
I request that the logo icons be updated to be more legible and internally consistent. MediaWiki, Wikifunctions and Wikidata have alternative logos used for small sizes (like favicons). English Wiktionary has a distinct one from the other languages projects.
