This is a tracking task for the work involved with identifying mechanism(s) that are capable of generating compelling and constructive suggestions at scale for newcomers. There will likely be parallel tasks that seek to do something similar for other groups of editors.
Requirements
For a "suggestion mechanism" to be considered viable in this context, it must meet the following requirements:
- Prevalent: newcomers need to be likely to encounter suggestions
- Compelling: newcomers need to find the suggestions compelling
- Constructive: patrollers need to consider the edits a suggestion causes to be constructive
