Please elaborate what makes you think so. The Privacy Engineering team has always been part / a subteam of the Security Team.
That team is also mentioned e.g. on https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Legal:Data_Collection_Guidelines

Privacy Engineering team has always been part / a subteam of the Security Team
Security Team is now part of Product Safety and Integrity, and I am not sure "The Privacy Engineering team" still exists independently.

Security-Team and Privacy Engineering will continue to exist as sub-teams of the larger group Product Safety and Integrity. We're still working out various communication and naming strategies for the team, and will likely create an umbrella tag in Phabricator for Product Safety and Integrity at some point.
