Description

Steps to reproduce

Go to the Activity tab
Scroll down to the Timeline module
Assume you do not have history items in Today's section, and a lot of items in Yesterday's section
Click items on Yesterday's section (items with link icon) and read the article
Go back to the Activity tab
Scroll down to the Timeline module and check Today's section.

Expected results

The items you clicked from the timeline should appear in the Today's section

Actual results

The items you clicked do not show in the Today's section.

Note

If you go to "Search" and click on yesterday's items, they will appear in today's section.

Android OS versions: Android 15
Device model: Samsung S24

Fixed on 2.7.50550-r-2025-09-22

Tested on Pixel 6 on Android 15 and OnePlus 8 on Android 13. Added articles to today's list via the activity tab and search, among other methods.

I am still seeing this bug in 2.7.50549-r-2025-09-17 (the Beta I can see in the App store). It might be that I don't have the newest build somehow?

Open activity tab
Scroll down to view timeline
Open "Alexander McQueen" (article from previous day in timeline)
Swipe back to activity tab
"Alexander McQueen" is missing from timeline for Today

Hello, I do not see this issue. It does take a moment to reflect the updated article to today. Perhaps there is a timing issue. @HNordeenWMF, have you rechecked the activity tab to see if it is updated now?
