@Dbrant removed! Sorry that was legacy from iOS

Working for me on 2.7.50557-r-2025-11-14, on OnePlus 8 on Android 13, and Pixel 6 on Android 16. Tested on all themes.

@cooltey or @Dbrant Is there a mechanism for having access to the icon expire after 1 year? I'm not seeing it disappear if I put my device date to January 2027

Is there a mechanism for having access to the icon expire after 1 year? I'm not seeing it disappear if I put my device date to January 2027

There is no such mechanism yet; the plan is to make a release of the app at some point towards the end of 2026 (or at the time of YiR 2026) that will remove this icon. (We'll have a task to track this.)

Sounds good - I started a Cleanup task for 2026 because I'm sure we'll spot other things https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T410450.

In the future - please make a note somewhere in the task description when there's a caveat like this - that way we don't waste time testing, and we remember to make the follow-up task.
