Description

The task to track the racking, installation and configuration of the new frack switches in F5.

  • fasw1-f5a-codfw
    • Receive end enter switch in Netbox
    • rack switch
    • Connect power
    • connect both switches using interface et-1/0/53 and et-1/0/54
    • connect port et-0/0/48 to et-0/1/0 on pfw1-c8a (25G)
    • Run the sre.network.provision for initial configuration
    • Configure the switch. set the switch to Active in netbox and run homer
    • connect port 47 on fmsw1-f5-codfw to port 0
    • Add switch to monitoring
    • discuss with Frack and netops the configuration needed on the switch et set it up
    • Set a day and time for the servers migrations (date for migrate is during the week of 5/14)

I had a meeting today with @Jgreen about the new switch configuration. what we will be doing is to move the frack-fundraising VLAN to the new rack. See below for the process
-Create reht1 and add both et-0/1/0 and et-7/1/0 interfaces to it

redundancy-group 2 {
    node 0 priority 100;
    node 1 priority 1;
    interface-monitor {
        et-0/1/0 weight 255;
        et-7/1/0 weight 255;
    }
}
  • Create and add interface interface reth1.2135 to the trust security zone after removing the ip address from reth0.2135
  • Setup interface et-0/0/47 on on both switch as Tagged
  • Have one server in f5 to test before moving all the servers

The frack mgmt is now running off of the firewall and not off of the fasw switch. @Jgreen can you please double check all on your end is good? Thank you.
