Description

Since the <chem> tag has been introduced in T153606 as a replacement for <ce>, it has been suggested that "Some day <ce> may be removed completely". The <ce> tags have been replaced by <chem> everywhere in T155125, although later a small number of occurrences of <ce> appeared. Is it the time to remove <ce> and leave only one tag for chemical formulas?

At current count there are 385 instances of <ce> and 10,000+ instances of <chem>. I think we just need someone to run a bulk edit to fix these.
