Run A/B Test of Wikipedia iOS App Product Page for French users on App Store
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Hypothesis

We believe that showcasing the features valued by users based on reviews from the App Store and Google Play using modern visuals and benefit-focused messaging (e.g.: “ad free access to articles on millions of topics and languages”) and designs that reflects the app’s current state

Will result in a higher installation rate and retention rate than previously created product page designs and copy

We will know this is true when our installation rate of the most recent designs and copy exceed the existing designs and copy on the app store.

WIP Figma here: https://www.figma.com/design/QvsLu7llrctBWbAANlTHTG/iOS---%3E-App-Store-A-B-test?node-id=3038-1202&t=MDyQSBhuBU5LJXhy-1

Started conversation with Jaz, Derek and Carolyn on Slack about questions I have and gathering feedback.

HNordeenWMF triaged this task as Medium priority.

Translations are completed! I am now adding them back to the screenshots.

Translations added to screenshots. However I am requesting a review by a staff member (recommended by Bethany) so they give a last check on line breaks (do those make sense?) and help me shorten 1 copy that is currently 4 lines of length (and we need 3). @Mazevedo and I will connect later this week so I can see how she launches this test together with the app release - meeting created.

Chatted with Marina, and the French description was updated for the next release. Tomorrow (Oct 23), once she launches the new version, she will ping me to then launch our screenshot test.

We stopped this test to give place to the English test. Winning variant: dark blue.
