@Jgreen,

Please note this host will still leverage BIOS capable booting and can be setup as such (you did not specify in the ordering task) but future generations starting later this fiscal could potentially be UEFI only.

I know your team writes their own partman recipies, which require update to work with uefi boot mode. The production puppet repo has many examples of the changes, as they just append -efi to the end of the filename when its updated for UEFI boot mode partitioning support.

Hey @Jgreen I know we have scripts now to assist with this better. I'm unsure if there are still settings we need to enable for the rest of this install? If so, we can talk about it more on IRC.

Set the IP address for iDRAC, enabled IPMI, and user config information.

  • NIC.Embedded.1-1-1 pxe disabled
  • NIC.Integrated.1-1-1 pxe enabled
  • boot method changed from UEFI to BIOS
  • fixed serial settings
    • Serial Communication: On with Console Redirection (was On without Console Redirection)
    • Serial Port Address: COM2 (was COM1)
Jgreen moved this task from Triage to Done on the fundraising-tech-ops board.

Done!
