[New component] Codex icons in message boxes
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

On the English Wikipedia, there was a recent RfC proposal regarding the usage of Codex icons in message boxes to replace the current inconsistent style: "RfC: Update messagebox module with new Codex icons". Though the proposal failed due to no consensus, this could be implemented in other wikis. These have already been implemented in some wikis, though not fully or consistently. The rationale is simple, as the design system of Wikimedia, these are already implemented by default on the most used skins (Vector 2022 and Minerva Neue)

As a template editor from English Wiktionary, I plan to migrate these to the to Codex icons (and would appreciate other wikis to do the same). However, there are many icons that we need that are missing. In this ticket, I will outline those that require attention. For now, I have compiled an informal list of icons commonly used on English Wikipedia and Wiktionary.

Some icons could be be juxtaposed smaller modifying icons. For example, a book icon may represent any book, but add a smaller checkmark or cross to indicate whether it is accepted as a source or not (example), or a copyright symbol to indicate a copyvio book. This may only be used in larger sizes as in a message box, as it can easily become quite cluttered.
