[TikTok Filters] Explore the magic 8-ball filter concept
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

As a TikTok user, I want to use and/or watch other people use a filter in which a user can ask the "elite ball of knowledge" (Wikipedia puzzle globe) a question and receive a semi-personalized and curated answer, so that I can have fun, ask both silly and serious questions, and engage with the TikTok platform.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. TikTok users have referred to the Wiki puzzle globe as the "elite ball of knowledge." Let's take advantage of this moniker and make something that might resonate with our target audience of Gen Z. We aim to have this concept fleshed out and shovel-ready by 10/1. We will also need to keep SFV looped in (Liv and Lucas).
  2. In this magic 8-ball concept, players will speak to ask a question, and receive a response from the Wiki puzzle globe. The responses can range from pre-built statements (the example above seems to just have "yes" and "no") to Wiki articles with summaries (or maybe even something else). These CANNOT be LLM responses and will need to be pre-loaded responses. One major question will be "what is the content of the response you get from the puzzle globe?"
  3. Another major question is "what form will that response content take?" Is the content spoken aloud? Are captions given? Is there a visual globe on the interface that wiggles as it talks? Does the globe wear sunglasses? The look/feel should match the content.
  4. Questions asked will likely be personal instead of knowledge-seeking,
  5. Once #2 and #3 have been determined, we should wrap this experience up in a user flow. This flow should lightly describe discovery (which is likely to be just browsing filters or seeing others use a filter), onboarding (directions), usage, and then posting.
