Description

Overview

This 4-week onboarding plan, structured into weekly modules, can include:

  • Clear instructions + short videos (<30 seconds) for learning Wikipedia basics, starting translations, picking topics, guided section translation, and publishing.
  • Promotion via banners on selected wikis, event registration, and emails to registered campaign users. * Include users from the previous experiment if possible.
  • Coordinate discussions around weekly activities on talk pages and provide ongoing contributor support.
  • Recognize contributors with the highest impact by featuring them in a Wikipedia blog post celebrating their work.
Sample Week 1: Learn Wikipedia Basics
  • Explore Wikipedia’s best practices - start with Panchsheel (Five Pillars).
  • Watch a short video explaining the best practices
  • Prompt: What’s one best practice you found most interesting or new to you?
  • → Share your response or thoughts on your community’s Talk page!
