As reported in Slack.
Donors are reporting trouble donating via Apple Pay and I'm also running into trouble.
- On desktop from both Chrome and Firefox attempted by going to donate.wikimedia.org
- Enter or select an amount and select Apple Pay like normal.
- It directs you to scan the QR code with your phone like normal
- Then on phone it just says "processing" and spins for a while. (I also noticed it doesn't have the "double click to pay" which I feel like it typically does?)
- After a while it just closes out on my phone without indicating it was successful or not and it takes me back to the first screen on the desktop (screenshot 2) with no indication of what has happened. An error message doesn't appear and I'm not taken to the ty page.
Donation attempts are not visible at Gr4vy.
@LWadleigh also reported the following trouble via Safari:
"I experienced the same on Safari for iOS. When the Apple Pay dialogue pops up it says “Processing” for a while before timing out with “payment not completed” and the dialogue window closes.
