Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

What happens?:
The highlighted temporary account usernames presented on the footer overlap with VisualEditor popups.

I had a look into this, and the impact seems quite small:

  • It also affects UserInfoCard icons
  • It only affects expired temporary accounts
  • User names are rarely shown in the footer. They are shown if $wgMaxCredits is not 0, which is only the case for one production wiki (wikivoyage)

It also seems only to affect Vector22, having checked a few different skins. Here's a comparison of the Vector skins:

Legacy Vector

This looks like it is coming from stacking contexts in the skin - tagging Reader Experience Team.

The small scope probably makes it less urgent to solve, though it may be annoying when using beta sites, which do display credits in the footer.
