In the mobile app (I use Android; not sure of the iOS behavior), when multiple references are used for a statement, there is a space in between each one of them:

This display is different from the mobile web interface and the desktop interface. It causes references to take up more visual space, without providing much of any improvement. The space should be removed, or (if deemed desirable for some reason) we should change the other interfaces to align with it.
