In 2023, an administrator of kaa.wikipedia manually added themselves as a mentor (by editing MediaWiki:GrowthMentors.json manually instead of via Special:EnrollAsMentor as expected). This means kaa.wikipedia had an invalid mentor list, which @Sgs noticed while working on T409170: Run MigrateMentorStatusAway migration script.

Because of the error in the list, GrowthExperiments treated the wiki as a "wiki with no mentors" (as no mentors were signed up in a valid way). It seems that no administrator enabled mentorship via Community Configuration either, so the wiki wouldn't have working mentorship, even if the mentor list was correct.

To unblock @Sgs, I fixed the mentor list, but I did not enable mentorship, so the wiki is still in a "no mentors" situation.

I'm filling this task for us to (a) check on the wiki (help it enable mentorship if it so wishes) (b) possibly make documentation improvements that make it easier for admins to notice what the correct way is (c) possibly file tasks for follow-up engineering changes, if any are necessary to simplify the process.
