During the last call it was discussed that

1. it was OK if the journals lined up with our batches
2. the document field can hold the whole batch name
3. the journal references can *probably* be the batch name. (Tiffany is confirming this but am going to update the code now to this as it will allow us to match our journals up and we will have to figure out a tricky way to achieve the same thing if there is a problem
