Background

We are moving forward with the final group of endpoints that must be rerouted through the Common API Gateway (aka: REST Gateway). Because the API Gateway is another instance of Envoy, the actual configuration migration should be straight forward. However, the configuration is complex, and needs appropriate testing. Additionally, we are introducing a new pattern for handling endpoint specific limits as well as new user class for the WMF Enterprise client, which increases the risk and need for testing the Lift Wing endpoints specifically, following the implementation from [T413448].

Conditions of acceptance

• Create a test suite for all API Gateaway/Portal APIs except Lift Wing
• Execute test plan for non-Lift Wing APIs
  • Raise and/or fix resulting issues
• Create a test script for Lift Wing, which verifies appropriate rate limits are applied
• Execute Lift Wing testing
  • Raise and/or fix resulting issues
