• Open the Wikipedia Android app

• Open an article that contains images whose descriptions rely on templates from Wikimedia Commons (e.g. images from Wiki Loves contests)

• Tap on an image to open the image viewer

• View the image description / image information section

What happens?:

The app displays template text or incorrectly formatted content instead of the actual image description. In some cases:

The raw template text appears

Description values inside templates are missing

Text is split across multiple lines incorrectly (notably with inline templates such as {{lang}})

What should have happened instead?:

The app should render and display the actual image description from Wikimedia Commons, correctly resolving templates and displaying complete, readable descriptions consistent with the web view.
