I'm not seeing Laos listed as supported by any payment methods via Adyen at https://docs.adyen.com/payment-methods - have we previously been able to accept donations there?

No idea, but it's on the dropdown country list so I would assume so and we have it listed as accepted in our internal doc. I thought all of the countries in the dropdown were confirmed as accepted.

The URL points to USD being accepted, rather than local currency.

No, the dropdown list just includes every country (e.g. the very first one is Afghanistan, which is blocked)

I can either make Laos a completely blocked country on donatewiki, or remove credit card and only leave paypal. Which is better?

I suggest only leave Paypal.

I would vote to leave PayPal. I think we should only have actual unaccepted countries be blocked.

As a job for some point, it would be good to revise the entire dropdown list and only have the options available for each country which actually work, vis a vis what Adyen / DLocal or Gravy can support.

@EMartin we could support with updating our accepted payment methods list if we know where to check this information.

Thanks @RKumar_WMF . Has this been cross-referenced with what we actually offer on the donation form for each country? As if not, that work likely should be done so donors are not running into this error.

I have removed the credit card option from Laos

It has been not since there are a lot more countries on the form. I can do that by early next week and update all here.

I have sent the list of all countries to our account manager - Adyen to reconfirm on all countries.
