Simplified Chinese localization shows incorrect “Last edited” date as “Yesterday”

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Open the Wikipedia iOS app.
  • Set the app language to Simplified Chinese.
  • Open any article.
  • Scroll to the bottom to view the Last edited information.

What happens?:
Open the Wikipedia iOS app.

Set the app language to Simplified Chinese.

Open any article.

Scroll to the bottom to view the Last edited information.

What should have happened instead?:
The Last edited timestamp should display the correct relative or absolute date, matching the article’s actual edit history.

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
App version: WikipediaApp/7.8.8.5909

OS: iOS 26.1

Device: Phone

Language: Simplified Chinese (zh-hans)
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
ser confirmed the issue persists on the latest app version.

Screenshot re-sent by the user clearly shows the incorrect “Updated yesterday” label.
