Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Read an article for about a minute: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Snow_Queen_(Kernaghan_novel)
- Navigated to the explore feed
- Scrolled to because you read
What happens?:
Because you read appears with related articles, but it also includes the main page. Tapping that article presents the lead image, but no text. See screenshots below.
What should have happened instead?:
The main page should probably not appear in because you read.
Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Tested on 50565-r-2026-01-12 on OnePlus 8 on Android 13, and Pixel 6 on Android 16. So far, I have only seen this happen with this particular article. I tried a number of other articles, but I do not see the main page in BYR.
