Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Translate a long article to :slwiki - some recent examples are translations from English of the articles Beludžistan, Pakistan, Beludžijščina and Beograd (links to first translated revisions included, they were later partly fixed manually)

Apologies for not being able to provide more detailed steps. These were translations by two different users, I haven't tested the issue myself. Also apologies, if it's a known issue.

What happens?: Apparently, the ContentTranslation tools picks a seemingly random reference and replaces most - but not all - references from the original with it, e.g. the Bureau of statistics reference in the article "Beograd". As a bonus, this article also features the other, older ContentTranslate bug - adding HTML code to instances of repeatedly included references, thus breaking them (see references with errors in the list at the bottom).

Event Timeline

I can reproduce the issue:

  • Notice that the reference gets correctly translated:

  • Now translate a section with another reference and make sure the original reference is different from the first one:

  • Notice how the footnote number has changed in the translation to [1] (instead of [2]) and the footnote shows exactly the same content as the first reference (which is now [undefined] instead of [1] but still shows the same content)
