After this change several modules and templates on it.wikipedia fails (see discussion). The change was reverted on translatewiki but we can't wait another week to update the language (also maybe some problems affects other Italian wikis).

That revert is in the code repository only; the code gets deployed on the servers once per week; if someone sets up a backport of the revert then it may get deployed earlier

thanks @Aklapper, I asked on #wikimedia-operations channel. I know that this type of changes need a week to be deployed, but at the moment (without edit all the impacted messages on it.wiki) we still have problems on Italian Wikipedia project.

It looks like https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Contributions/Amedeo463 is the one who made these changes. You have to wait until the next train deployment

2026-01-29 14:22:54 <A_smart_kitten> (FWIW, my perspective on the request that was made in T415876 is something like: the i18n change being reverted here (that's been objected to by folks on the wiki) is a very recent one, AFAICS (from looking at TWN history pages) the previous versions of those messages have been that way since at least 2008, and the updated message would presumably be deployed by next-week's train anyway)
