Explore Feed has multiple Liquid Glass violations:

  • iPhone: abrupt gray tab bar background, low contrast search
  • iPad: missing logo, incorrect search treatment

Explore Feed is the primary discovery surface and often the first screen users see.

Requirements

iPhone

  • Improve search contrast
  • Secondary color for overflow menu
  • Toolbar fixed on scroll (Apple News-like)

iPad

  • Add logo top-left
  • Search icon
  • Fixed toolbar on scroll
Acceptance Criteria
  • Search and toolbar match iOS 26 patterns
  • Contrast meets accessibility standards
  • Layout matches Figma

@Mazevedo, In the Explore feed, there is this medium-priority task that may make sense to do together with this one, since you will be touching the Explore feed anyway. I'll defer to @JTannerWMF about the order of work but wanted to mention it here since it may be faster to do it all together,

Connected with Engineers live, and we decided not to have the scroll behaviours since this is a tricky one to implement. The cost/benefit is not worth it at the moment, and we should focus on the other parts of the Liquid Glass implementation. I added an "X" over the scroll interactions on Figma.

cc: @JTannerWMF FYI. We will keep the elements fixed on scroll for now - this is not a departure from the current experience. Please let me know if any objections.

On scroll, the logo will become "W" with a background to protect its visibility against the background changes that the Liquid Glass brings, since there is layering now. What Tais caught here is a bug and it should be fixed

From the punchlist:

Once user scrolls down the page and taps on a link, the Wikipedia logo goes back to its original state instead of being inside the circle
