There is a huge amount of hieroglyphs that exist in Gardiner's sign list and Unicode but are missing in wikihiero. many of the spaces for these missing characters can be viewed on the MediaWiki Syntax page (https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Extension:WikiHiero/Syntax&oldid=8204432) I have recently overhauled to take out space that do not exist in Gardiner's sign list and added characters that were missing from the list, there are some hieroglyph variant not include there still but they are minor and added the missing characters already there is a good start.

Ideally, folks would use modern Unicode fonts in their modern browser on their modern operating system, so we could get rid of WikiHiero. See also T344534. :)

I oppose getting rid of wikihiero for now because while most fonts support the hieroglyphs Unicode block not all do and wikihiero is able to be formatted in ways Unicode can't.

@PharaohCrab I'm trying to gauge the urgency of this task. Are a lot of the missing hieroglyphs badly needed by projects and they are blocked by such characters' absence? Thanks so much.

No major projects need any of these characters as far as I'm aware but few individual Wikipedia pages such as Merneith (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merneith) and Neper (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neper_(mythology) do need some
