Description

This task involves the work of fixing an issue that [seems to be causing] your scroll position is lost when you tap a 💡 button within the right rail on mobile web.

Platform: mobile (I've NOT reproduced this issue on desktop)
Browser: Chrome
OS: iOS 26.2.1

Ensure the Suggestion mode beta feature is enabled
Open VE on an article that has suggestions present within it.
- E.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Adolfo_Farsari .
Scroll the page until you notice a 💡 icon in the editor sidebar
Tap the 💡 icon

✅ Expected

The Suggestion Card appears and your scroll position is unchanged

❌ Actual

The Suggestion Card appears and you are scrolled to the bottom of the page

I have reproduced a variant of this issue on iOS 26.1 with Chrome .

Observed behavior:

When tapping the 💡 suggestion icon, the page scrolls to the top (almost top)
The original report mentioned scrolling to the bottom
Both indicate scroll position is not being preserved
Expected: scroll position should remain unchanged when the Suggestion Card appears
