Watchlist labels have been received well, with one notable criticism being that users with large watchlists find it difficult and time consuming to add labels to large numbers of pages at once. Special:EditWatchlist is paginated, displaying up to 500 pages at once, and at the time of writing has only a namespace filter.
- T416172: Allow users to search by page title in Special:EditWatchlist will effectively allow users to bulk-watchlist pages based on title, up to 500 pages at once.
- T419790: Add Special:EditWatchlist filter by label or unlabelled will do the same for existing labels or items without any labels.
Other ideas have been suggested to support bulk-labelling based on some criteria. Please feel free to add to the list:
- All pages the user has created
- All articles in a given topic area
- Pages within a given category
This task is a placeholder for collating and discussing these ideas. How such a feature would be exposed to users is unclear.
